HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The U.S. Space & Rocket Center’s weekly Biergarten is back beginning Thursday, March 14, with authentic German food, beer and wine available in the Davidson Center for Space Exploration every Thursday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. This popular event is family friendly, with live music each week in addition to delicious cuisine and the opportunity to dine under the National Historic Landmark Saturn V moon rocket. Leashed dogs are welcome outside on the Davidson Center terrace or Apollo Courtyard.
Admission is free to Biergarten, with food and beverages available for purchase. New this year is a German wine flight featuring three wines. For this week only, an authentic German Beef Rouladen will be on the menu along with bratwurst, Jaegerschnitzel and other traditional fares.
While you’re here for Biergarten, enjoy a special after-hours presentation in the Rocket Center’s brand new state-of-the-art INTUITIVE® Planetarium. Shows are at 5 and 7 p.m., and tickets are $10 for adults and $9 for children ages 5 to 12.
To support our local community, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center features a nonprofit each week and donates a portion of food sales to the week’s designated organization. The North Alabama Veterans and Fraternal Organizations Coalition is the non-profit for the opening night of Biergarten.
