U.S. Space & Rocket Center hosting Bollywood actor for astronaut-based training

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is hosting Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput for astronaut-based training beginning today. Sushant is appearing as an astronaut in the upcoming Hindi film, “Chanda Mama Door Ke,’ which is to be released in 2018. While at the Rocket Center, Sushant will train in the Underwater Astronaut Trainer, learn about space suit technology and practice on the Multi-Axis Trainer and 1/6th Gravity Chair simulators among other activities. “We are pleased to provide Sushant with the training we offer our trainees who attend our programs from around the world,” Pat Ammons, the Rocket Center’s Director of Communications, said. “We know he will leave with a better understanding of the complexities of space travel and the passion and courage it takes to explore beyond Earth’s atmosphere as he prepares for his role as an astronaut.”
