In thanks for their perseverance and hard work during a tough 2020, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center is offering discounted admission during designated weeks to essential workers in our community. With proof of employment, workers will receive a $13 rate for each member of their family (employee must be present).
From Wednesday, Jan. 13 to Sunday, Jan. 17, medical professionals will receive the discounted admission price followed by:
- Essential retail workers, Jan. 20 – 24
- First responders and law enforcement, Feb. 8 – 14
- Educators, Feb. 17 - 21
Discount applies only to general admission. Other discounts cannot be applied to this discount.
In addition to the discount weeks, the Rocket Center is holding its annual Teacher Appreciation Weekend, with free admission for teachers who present school identification this Sat. Jan. 16 through Monday, Jan. 18. Members of the Rocket Center education team will host a mini “open-house” throughout the weekend, providing information about new onsite and virtual resources for educators in 2021. Teachers may also register to win a free Virtual Intuitive Planetarium Show for their class.
The Rocket Center is open Wednesday through Sunday during January and February, except for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 18, and Presidents’ Day, Monday, Feb. 15.
