Life is a complex journey filled with a rich tapestry of experiences, emotions, and events that shape us into who we are. From the moment we are born, life unfolds before us like a vast, unwritten book, each day offering new opportunities to write our own story.

STEM on Stage

Join us for STEM on Stage at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center! These live daily STEM performances incorporate our artifacts and exhibits as we illustrate science concepts. These short, interactive STEM on Stage performances take place at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily in our “Dare to Explore: Frontiers of Space” exhibit.

  • Q1: March 1-31: Forces of Flight! In this demonstration, museum guests learn about the scientific forces and principles that interact to cause flight. With the help of a wind tunnel, guests will be able to suspend an object to test how it responds to the four forces of flight, Bernoulli's Principle, and the Coanda Effect.
  • Q2: April 1- June 30: Exploring the Universe: Star Formation! In this demonstration, museum guests will learn how stars form from the dust and gas that exists in space and model a star-formation through a simulated matter accumulation process.
  • Q3: July 1 - September 31: Living & Working in Space: Breath of Fresh Air! In this demonstration, museum guests learn about the science and technology that produces a living, breathable environment onboard the International Space Station.
  • Q4: October 1 - December 31: Cool Light! In this demonstration, museum guests will see chemiluminescence and energy production from chemical mixtures.
